Good luck to super cyclist dad Kevin!
Friday 31st August 2018
This coming 8 September, super cyclist dad Kevin will be taking on a huge challenge cycling from Land's End to John O'Groats while raising thousands of pounds for HemiHelp, the hemiplegia charity that became part of Contact this year.
Inspired by his two year old daughter, Kevin said:"Our beautiful daughter Demi suffered a stroke / clot to the brain during pregnancy and due to the damage she suffered, she was born with a condition called Hemiplegia, which in her case, affects the left side of her body.
"She shows great determination and resilience in her daily challenges, and this very determination has given me the urge to put my body and mind through an extreme challenge. This September, I will be riding the 975 miles, Land's End to John O'Groats over nine days - the way I see it, I'm going to have nine days of challenges and pain but Demi is going to have a lifetime of challenges."
Kevin has been doing a tremendous amount of work training and fundraising for this mammoth cycle and has already raised over £13,000 and lots of awareness for Hemiplegia.
We wish Kevin all the very best for his Ride Across Britain. If you would like to support Kevin, please visit his Just Giving page.
